Lifeguard Helene Phillips will be conducting the ocean safety class and demonstrations for the Ocean Girl Project Sustainable Surf Day Camp in July.

Besides being a lifeguard on Oahu beaches for over 20 years, Helene is an all around accomplished water woman and a wonderful addition to our volunteer staff!

As surfers it is vital to always remember the ocean can be a wild and unpredictable environment.

Our responsibility and our way of showing respect in any ocean activity is learning and practicing ocean safety.
